"Let's raise a rose for everyone living with dementia"

From the Executive Director & Founder

Welcome to A Rose For Grandma Wellness Hub! We are a national registered charitable organization committed to increasing awareness and support for those affected by dementia in Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour communities. We offer a range of services including caregiver support, respite care services, in-home support services, counselling, peer support groups, and educational resources.

Canada is facing a significant challenge in regard to dementia, with the projected number of individuals living with dementia expected to rise to 955,900 by 2030, as estimated by the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.

As a Registered Nurse with expertise in dementia care and mental illness, and a co-founder and Executive Director of two Memory Care facilities in Toronto, I have seen firsthand how dementia disproportionately affects Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour due to systemic barriers such as insufficient resources and social stigma. That’s why we are dedicated to providing resources and support for those affected by dementia in these communities.

Join us in our efforts to make a difference in the lives of those affected by dementia in Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour communities. By uniting together and raising a Rose for every individual living with dementia, we can strive for a better future, shed light on the realities of this disease, and unmask Dementia.
